Wonderful experience tonight for my son’s 13th birthday. The quality of the food and the flavor was top notch and as with most hibachi places, the portions were enormous. Our drinks stayed filled and our server was especially attentive. Our hibachi chef was a lot of fun and super friendly.

This was my first visit to this location. I went with a group of friends for a birthday celebration. It was a busy Saturday evening but we had a reserevation so the wait was nearly nothing. Kayla B, our waitress, was great and very attentive and conscientious. Drinks were never empty and dishes were moved out of the way as soon as we finsihed them. The hibachi chef was very entertaining but the show seems to be exatly the same at every Japanese steakhouse. The kids love it, so I guess that's what matters! The bill was a bit more than expected as there was a hidden upcharge that I wasn't aware of. The steak and shrimp, as well as, the steak and scallops meal both have an upcharge of $7 for filet. Each beverage is now $5 (tea/soda/lemonade) and a 20% gratuity is automatically charged. NO WHERE was it posted about upcharges nor the automatic gratuity. BEWARE!

I took my wife here hoping to ease the suffering of a pet dying. It did not work. The service was great! The waitress was very friendly and helpful. The drinks were strong and the food was oh so tasty. Nom nom nom I inhaled my entire dinner while my wife picked at her food deep in thought. I was so satisfied that I almost shed a tear on the way home. My wife did cry on the way home. Sigh. Highly recommend Otaki - doesn't quite replace a beloved dog though. Sigh. I recommend the SKRIMP, Chicken, and steak. Perfectly cooked all around. Most tender chicken I've ever had. Wish our dog could have tried it.

Overall it was pretty good. I was a little bit disappointed that the rice was so plain. That was a first for me in terms of sitting down for a Japanese steakhouse at the grill. I was a little frustrated when the bartender took it upon herself to refill our drinks and I wasn't even done with my first one and didn't ask for a second round which I was then obligated to pay a lot of money for. I would not think at a place like that that a regular lemon drop would be so expensive. I will say that there's only two tables open and Two Chefs available for those tables so the wait was kind of long but the chef that we got was fantastic. I truly had not had a chef That animated and fun in a long long time but then again I don't get to go out for Japanese Steakhouse dinners very often either. By far the most enjoyable part was our chef and the regular steak was phenomenal. I stopped ordering steak at places like this because it was always so tough and I was pleasantly surprised when I tasted my husband's and it was very tender! Not too bad considering we had something else planned in it fell apart and we just ended up here.

Stars are not enough praise for this place. Not only was the food and experience amazing, but the people are amazing. Even the other guests dining there. My dad has Parkinson’s and was struggling to walk out of the restaurant. He was telling his legs to move and they just wouldn’t. I wish I knew the employees names who immediately came to help, no questions asked. A guest eating got up and offered help, she is a nurse, thank you so much. No one judged him, no one stared at him. The employees got him an office chair to help wheel him to the car and helped him in. They are AMAZING. I will be calling tomorrow to praise them to the owner and or manager. Life long customers, next time we will being a wheelchair. ;)
